Objective: Retrieve mail from POP3 servers and deliver messages to fax machines or alphanumeric pagers.  

Discussion: The ProtoFax Server has a built in POP client that allows it to check POP3 servers for email. ProtoFax's POP client is extremely easy to use, as POP3 is the means that all of the most popular email packages utilize (Eudora™, Netscape™, Microsoft™..etc). ProtoFax will check the POP accounts of the users that you specify in its userbase and fax the mail that it downloads to the fax number entered in the user's account in the ProtoFax's userbase.  Or ProtoFax can send the email to an alphanumeric pager.  Also, the POP accounts do not have to be on the local network.
