POP
Client
ProtoFax's POP Client is
designed to retrieve mail from POP3 servers and send that mail to the ProtoFax
Fax Engine.
SMTP
Server
The ProtoFax SMTP server
receives mail and sends that mail to the ProtoFax Fax Engine.
Scanner Directory Service
New in ProtoFax v3.1, the
Scanner Directory Service will take any text files placed in the ProtoFax
Scanner directory and send them to the ProtoFax Fax Engine.
Printer
Driver
The ProtoFax Printer Driver
will take any Windows document and send it to a ProtoFax Server.
Fax
Engine
The ProtoFax Fax Engine
takes documents and messages from the above sources and faxes it using
standard modems to a fax machine.
Alphanumeric Pager Engine
Also new in ProtoFax v3.1,
the Alphanumeric Pager Engine will deliver messages obtained from the POP,
SMTP, and Scanner Directory Services to alphanumeric pagers via the TAP
protocol.
